We also do a spring time sale of organic herbs and plant starts. We offer a variety of potted herbs and select plants to plant in your garden.

For our customers who don't prefer fresh flowers, we also offer a selection of silk flower arrangements.

Dried flowers from our farm are also available as arrangements and bunches.

Growing seasonally means that we grow flowers that are happy growing in the fields in the season they were meant to grow.  The happier the flower plant is, the better chance it has to withstand disease and bug pressure without chemicals. Cool seasonal annuals are flowers that are actually planted in the fall, winter over in the gardens, growing strong roots, and are the first flowers on our farm to welcome spring.  Lots of these are flowers you may remember from childhood but you don't see mainstream as much these days. Sweet peas, snapdragons, larkspur, bells of Ireland, sweet William, stock, bachelor's buttons, corn cockle and lots more. Mother Nature gave these flowers the ability to laugh at cold weather and delight us all with a spectacular show while we patiently wait for warm weather.  When the soil warms enough for our heat loving flowers, we start succession planting our flower crops so there is always something new and fresh ready to harvest, to make up your  bouquets.  Sunflowers and Benary's giant zinnias of every color, delightfully dominate the show all summer along, along with giant marigolds, dahlias, cosmos, cockscomb, celosia, basil, strawflowers, and yarrow, plus foliage and grasses that make a bouquet pop.  There is always something new under the grow lights, waiting to get into the garden all season long.  Fall brings a variety of pumpkins, gourds, and grasses that are perfect for seasonal decorating and arrangements. Winter holidays have evergreen wreaths and arrangements.  Winter is the season of rest for Mother Nature, the farm and the farmers at least until the grow lights go back on!

THE STORY OF OUR FLOWERS

We started our 46 acre farm located in Midland Virginia in 2019. The acreage is a mix of wooded and open pasture. The farm had been dormant for many years and it has been a wonderful experience bringing it back to life. We have chosen to be good stewards of this land that we have been so fortunate to have, and have started farming it using no till organic practices. We flower farm in a way that is beneficial to our soil, our pond, our bee hives, our guinea hens and ourselves. We work with Mother Nature by utilizing an arsenal of tricks including seasonally appropriate planting, row covers, crop rotation, mulch, rain water containment irrigation, companion planting, pollinators and our guinea hen army of bug eaters to help us bring you chemical free flowers that you can feel confident bringing into your home.
